Saturday was a pleasant day. Especially after the weather over the long weekend. Decided to watch our grandson play junior footy in Jan Juc, & follow this with a picnic lunch in Torquay. What to have??? There were a few options, but fish & chips won out in the end. We ordered a piece of fish each, & medium chips. With chicken salt, instead of plain salt. The fillet of fish was nice & thick, the batter thin & crisp. Both the fish, & chips were golden in colour. & hot. Couldn't have asked for more. We parked our car in the park car park for free. Even though it was busy, parking was reasonably easy, & we walked to the fish shop. Service was quick & efficient. & we were soon eating. Surprisingly, we didn't have to share our lunch with seagulls! Total cost of our order came in @ $30.80.

Great friendly service! Delicious Fish and Chipparoonies! 😫 Calamari too was scrumptious. Only place in town with an open kitchen at 4 - came through with the goods ! :)

Had an absolutely fantastic experience at Captain’s Catch Fish & Chips in Torquay. I ordered a fish burger, grilled barramundi, chips, and potato cakes—and every single item was spot on. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, the burger was loaded with flavour, and the chips were golden and crunchy just how I like them. The potato cakes were a nostalgic touch done right. What really stood out was the service—friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality fish and chips by the coast. Will definitely be back!
